If it weren’t for the fact that you /are/ so on the edge of speaking the truth, I wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing it up to you to challenge the thought and speech patterns that we’ve been trained to entrench ourselves into.
Oh, I know all too well, that this is the case, and have argued fervently on the forums in defense of those outside the ‘accepted gender norms’ (which is a phrase in and of itself that I despise), but you are completely right that I omitted them from the discussion, and I will make sure that in the next feminism ep or just the next one (not sure yet which ones coming next) that I address this. It’s too true and too sad that we have ingrained within us this subtle dominating dialogue of oppression. I’m thirty years in, but trying to break it!
